Banana Split Cake

Step 1: Crust

  • 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick of oleo
Spread in a 9 x 13 inch pan
Step 2: Filing

  • 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 sticks of oleo

Mix the above well, beat at a high speed for 5 minutes. Spread over the crust

         Step 3: Topping

Cut at least 6 bananas in half lengthwise, lay across the filling.  Spread on medium can of crushed pineapple, drained, over the bananas. Sprinkle with chopped nuts over the pineapples. Cover with 2 pkgs. of dream whip or one carton of cool whip. Sprinkle  more nuts and top with cherries. Chill at least 3-4 hours.

Italian Cream Cake

  • 1/2 cup of Crisco
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 5 eggs (separated)
  • 1 tsp of soda
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 cups of coconut
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
Mix the crisco, butter and sugar together. Add 5 eggs, one at a time, beat after each addition. Add dry ingredients along with buttermilk, vanilla, stir in coconut and pecans.  Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, bake in grease and floured round can pans at 350 degrees for 30 mins.  makes 3 layers
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese
Cream together until smooth.  Add 1 cup of pecans, 1 box of powdered sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla.              

Mississippi Mud Cake

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 tblsp. cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut
  • 1 1/2 cups of chopped nuts
  • 1 tblsp. vanilla
  • 1 large jar marshmallow creme

Cream the margarine with the sugar and cocoa until light and fluffy, and the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Beat in the flour and coconut, then stir in the nuts and vanilla, blending well.  Pour the batter into a  9x13x2 inch greased baking pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until cake test done. Remove from oven and spread the marshmallow creme over the top of cooled cake.

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Cream first 3 ingredients. Last beat in milk and spread on cooled cake.


German Chocolate UP-side Down Cake


1. Grease 9x 13 pan

Sprinkle 1c. Coconut all over pan

Sprinkle 1 c. nuts over coconut

2. Mix German Chocolate cake mix as directed and pour on top of cocnut and nuts

3. Beat together:

1 stick oleo (melted)

8 oz creame cheese

1 box powdered sugar


Sppon over cake mix


Bake at 300 or 325 for 1 hour

Turtle Cake

1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix

1 (14 oz) bag of caramels

3/4c butter

1/2 c evaporated mile

1c chocalte bits

1 c chopped pecans


Mix the cake according to the directions. Grease a 9x13 pan. Pour half of batter in pan and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Melt caramels, butter, and milk in saucepan over low heat. Remove cake from oven and pour carmel mixture over it. Top with chocolate bits and pecans. Top with second half of batter. Bake 20 minutes.

George Washington Pie


  • 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick of oleo

Spread in a 9 x 13 inch pan


Cream together

2 pks creame cheese (softened

2 c powdered sugar


Blend in a 12 oz container of Cool Whip and spread on top of crust



2 cans pf cherry pie filling on top of filling


Old Fashioned Chess Pie

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided
  • 2  Tbsp flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 teaspoons cornmeal
  •  1 Tbsp of vanilla
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell


Cream the butter until fluffy, combine the sugar, flour, and cornmeal, blend the cornmeal mixture into the butter, add eggs, milk, and vanilla, blending well. Spoon the filling into the pie crust. Bake in a preheated 350 oven for about 30 minutes or unitl filling is set.



Granny Cake

    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 1/2 cup sugar 
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 (20 ounce) cans crushed pineapple, with juice  


    • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
    • 1 cup butter
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  1. Beat everything together for 2 minutes, except for the brown sugar and chopped nuts.
  2. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 pan
  3. Sprinkle 3/4 c of brown sugar and 1/2 c nuts on cake . batter
  4. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
  5. About 5-10 minutes before cake is done prepare topping.
  7. Melt butter and mix with other ingredients.

Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Mexican Wedding Cookies

    Beat 1 cup of margarine until fluffy...

    Gradually Add: 3/4 c powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 cups sifted flour.

    Mix well and blend in 1 c finely chopped pecans. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a slow oven until pale golden brown. Roll in powdered sugar while still...roll in sugar again and cool.

    Italian Beef

    4 lb roast or larger

    2 T basil

    2T Italian seasoning

    2T seasoned salt

    1T pepper

    1 pk lipton onion soup (or 1 medium onion)

    1 pk italian salad seasoning

    2 T garlic salt

    Put roast in crock pot mix all ingredients together and pour over roast. Slow cook until done.

    Summer Sausage

    5 lbs Hamburger

    5 tsp Mortons Quick tender cure for meats

    3 tsp Mustard seed

    3 tsp garlic salt

    1 tsp garlic powder

    3 tsp Hickory smoke salt

    4 tsp course cracked pepper

    1 tsp whole peppercorns

    Day 1 Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate 

    Day 2,3,and 4 knead well

    Day 5 leave alone

    Day 6 Knead well make 5 or 6 rolls. Place on broiler pan and bake in oven for 8 hours at 150 degrees.
